Becoming a member of the Nassau County fire Service is a time honored tradition that has kept the residents of Nassau County safe for over 100 years; and therefore whether you volunteer to fight fires or provide emergency medical services, you will be making a commitment to carry on this vital public service. Since volunteering requires you to devote time to learning and maintaining skills, Nassau County offers some unique benefits and rewards to recruit and retain its volunteer firefighters and emergency medical service members.
